Job Description

If you're a therapist that's full of passion and wants to do meaningful things, let's talk!

Bay Area Mental Health is seeking a new rockstar therapist to add to the team. We will tell you now... we care deeply about bringing the best, most dedicated therapists to this important work. We work very hard and pride ourselves on being on our game as therapists and humans. We strive to continuously learn and evolve as we deepen our craft. This isn't our job. It's our dang calling. We hustle hard to bring top notch care for our clients and are successful in private practice as a byproduct of our efforts.

Our decisions are guided by our core values:

Integrity * Authenticity * Inclusivity * Diversity * Community * Compassion

There is no single path to healing; it takes different approaches and different people.
We draw on the differences in who we are, where we come from, what we’ve experienced and how we think. We value and trust each other and that makes us stronger together.

As a practice, we work in a Collaborative Care model with complex cases, including trauma and complex PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar and Substance Use. We believe in Transforming Pain Into Purpose. We LOVE what we do as we get the honor of working with people who are ready to "dig in to transformation” and not just white knuckle it through the hard times. Our clients are the people that suffer in silence and dedicate themselves to continuous growth to make the most out of life. We help people move through their pain and deepen their understanding of self, heal old wounds, and live a life that feels full and meaning-filled. It's AWESOME. We shake up the narrative of therapy and flip antiquated notions on its head as we push new limits and inspire our communities to deepen, heal, and progress in their beautiful lives.

Our therapists are called to do this work; it is not "just a job". We want to see our clients succeed in all ways and we want to thrive along with them. We take pride in our clients knowing we truly care about their lives and have the know-how to understand their story at a deep level. The foundation of this practice is Humanistic and Mindfulness-Oriented, meaning that we do not pathologize the human experience but rather aim to conceptualize our clients in a more holistic manner as we understand their way of being in the world. We believe that our best work is done when we are empowered and free to pursue our passions. Our therapists gain immense support in helping them attain the right client fit to bring best therapeutic results. It's what transforms our client's lives and keeps our therapists well fed on meaning and effectiveness. We encourage creativity and foster the space for our clinicians to be their authentic selves in the work place. Our team is awesome. We work like a boss, Love our clients hard, and are supremely laid back and caring with one another on an interpersonal level. This is a great position for people who have big ambition to make an impact, but would rather build a practice as a part of team than do it on their own (I mean really, where's the fun in that!). Our practice is committed to increasing access to mental health care so our candidate will also be facilitating therapy groups.

BAMH hires the most gifted, dedicated, growth minded clinicians out there. As we continue growing our dream team, our aim is to have a staff that reps our community.
