Position Overview

What We’re Looking For

  • Active Maryland LGPC license
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to client-centered, trauma-informed work
  • Reliable, organized, and clinically curious
  • Comfortable with (or willing to learn) electronic health records
  • Interest in building a long-term, meaningful clinical home

  • Couples or family therapy interest
  • Specialties such as trauma, anxiety, perinatal mental health, ADHD, or mood disorders
  • Experience with diverse populations and inclusive care

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and couples/family psychotherapy to a diverse caseload
  • Conduct intakes, develop treatment plans, and maintain timely, compliant documentation
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and weekly case consultations
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team leads to support your professional development
  • Engage in ethical, client-centered clinical care
  • Engage in community events relevant to networking, volunteering, and practice visibility.

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrates foundational clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
  • Ability to build rapport and establish a strong therapeutic alliance with diverse clients
  • Familiarity with evidence-based modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT, trauma-informed approaches)
  • Basic understanding of risk assessment, including safety planning and mandated reporting
  • Open to feedback, supervision, and ongoing professional development
  • Demonstrates self-awareness and willingness to engage in reflective practice
  • Strong ethical foundation and commitment to professional standards
  • Ability to manage time, maintain boundaries, and stay organized with documentation
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and referral sources
  • Comfortable asking questions and seeking support when needed
  • Timely completion of clinical documentation (notes, treatment plans, etc.)
  • Basic comfort with EHR systems and telehealth platforms (or willingness to learn)
  • Ability to manage a schedule and maintain consistency with client sessions
  • Experience working with couples (or willingness to learn)
  • Interest in private pay practice and developing a niche
  • Availability for evenings or weekends
  • Interest in community engagement, outreach, or content creation
