Purpose: Establish rapport, good communication, and trust with residential program clients in recovery from SUD and broad mental health disorders.
Day-To-Day:
Assessment & Planning:
- Conduct initial assessments to understand clients' substance abuse history, mental health status, and individual needs
- Utilize assessment tools and clinical interviews to develop a comprehensive understanding of each client
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on findings, evidence-based practices, and client-specific goals
- Regularly review and update treatment plans to reflect progress and changing needs
Therapy:
- Individual - utilize a variety of approaches e.g. CBT, DBT, narrative, psychoeducation, motivational interviewing, etc.
- Group - facilitate group therapy sessions
- Family - enrich family sessions with education and self care tactics for improved relational dynamics
Crisis Intervention & Collaboration:
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals and support staff to ensure comprehensive care for clients
- Respond to crises promptly and effectively providing immediate support and intervention
- Develop and implement crisis management plans as needed
Clinical Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and real-time documentation including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries
- Monitor and document progress toward treatment goals
Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Licensure: LMFT, LCSW, LPCC
- Ideally two years of experience with SUD and recovery
- Ideally two years of experience with residential treatment
