Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various therapeutic modalities and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality mental health care. This role involves working with individuals, families, and groups to promote emotional well-being and facilitate personal growth through evidence-based practices.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine client needs.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions utilizing techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and motivational interviewing.
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of clients, including those with PTSD, addiction issues, or developmental disabilities.
- Engage in crisis intervention and management strategies to support clients in acute situations.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including DSM 5 diagnosis.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care, including case management and coordination of services.
- Utilize telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions when necessary.
- Stay informed about developments in the field of mental health counseling through ongoing education and training.
Experience
Candidates should have experience in the following areas:
- Psychotherapy techniques including but not limited to cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and commitment therapy.
- Working with diverse populations.
- Direct support roles involving patient care, assessment, and behavior management strategies.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and clinical documentation standards.
