Job Description

We are currently seeking a full-time therapist to join our team at our Beverly Hills location. Must be able to attend supervision once per week, DBT team once per week, open to learning and applying comprehensive DBT, and working with acute personality disorders, mood disorders, and clients that struggle with self-harming and suicidality.

 

Key Responsibilities

·      Provide therapeutic services to clients (adults, couples, adolescents, families, group clients, and children) in an ethical, legal, and professional manner. 

·      Remain current in all legal and ethical requirements regarding work as a registered Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.

·      Contact the practice owner should an emergency occur regarding client safety, reporting obligations, or other urgent situations.

·      Provide therapeutic services within the scope of competence.

·      Comply with all laws regulations and ethical standards

·      Attend weekly DBT Team in person, unless sick or an emergency arises.

·      Maintain adequate written notes of all sessions and client contact.

·      Maintain current patient files within Simple Practice with all necessary forms.

·      Keep therapy sessions 45, 60, 75, or 90 minutes in length

·      Provide office manager with information for clients requesting monthly super bills.

·      Keep the provided office space tidy and presentable

·      Collaborate with other professionals on client treatment teams, secure release, and Information, and establish a line of communication with other providers

·      Establish and maintain appropriate boundaries with clients and seek peer supervision when in doubt.  The best peer supervision will be with your colleagues at this practice.  

·      Do not make any financial decisions in regards to clients without consulting with management

 

Skills & Experience

Must have a BBS Associate Number 
Able to run groups and see patients within our comprehensive DBT program, as well as a small number of non-DBT clients (no more than 1/4 of caseload)
We will provide foundational training in DBT through Behavioral Tech if you are not already trained.
Must be able to work collaboratively within a team, experience with adolescents and families (or willing to learn and take on these cases. If you are eager to see children 6-12 years old, that would be a plus.) 
Willing to work in person in our offices in Beverly Hills, this is not a remote position.
This is a full-time position at 32 hours per week.
