Job Description

NDH Therapy is seeking to hire an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) or Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) to join their team under supervision at an adult PHP/IOP eating disorder treatment center in Westlake Village. This position also offers the opportunity to grow a private practice at NDH Therapy in Agoura Hills.
Position Overview: The role begins with 5-10 hours per week, with the potential to expand based on your availability and goals. Growth opportunities include increasing clinical hours at the IOP/PHP for eating disorders and building your private practice at NDH Therapy in Agoura Hills.

Key Responsibilities

At the IOP/PHP, you will work primarily with adults (with potential future opportunities to work with teens), providing individual and group therapy, as well as completing documentation. At NDH Therapy, you can develop a private practice in your area of specialization by receiving referrals from NDH and marketing yourself within your network. 
Compensation:
  • IOP/PHP role: $60/hour
  • Private practice: Fees range from $110-$170 per session, with a 50/50 split with NDH. This equates to $60-$85/hour.
Supervision Requirements: You will attend weekly individual and group supervision sessions with Alison Ross, LMFT, CEDS, based on the number of supervision hours required for your case load. Supervision is unpaid.

 

 

Skills & Experience

Required Skills & Experience

  • Clinical Experience:  Experience in treating eating disorders, disordered eating, or related mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, and trauma.
  • Associate Licensure: Active licensure as an associate therapist (e.g., AMFT, ACSW, APCC, or equivalent) in the state of California.
  • Therapeutic Techniques: Proficiency in evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, ACT, or trauma-informed care.
  • Client-Centered Approach: Strong ability to build rapport and provide compassionate, individualized care to clients.
  • Telehealth Proficiency: Experience delivering therapy via telehealth platforms, with comfort in using technology to connect with clients.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychotherapists, medical doctors, and dietitians.

Preferred Skills and Qualities:

  • Passion for the Field: A personal passion for helping individuals recover from eating disorders and improve their relationship with food and body image.
  • Holistic Perspective: Familiarity with integrative approaches, including mindfulness, somatic practices, or neurofeedback, is highly valued.
  • Workshop Facilitation: Experience leading workshops or group therapy sessions focused on body image, eating recovery, or related topics.
  • Cultural Competence: Sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and the ability to provide inclusive, culturally responsive care.
