Psychotherapy, Private Practice

We are currently looking to hire associate therapists (AMFT, APCC, ASW) or licensed therapists (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW) to work at our private practice. This position can be full-time or part-time working at our office in Fullerton, or a hybrid schedule can be arranged with some days spent working remotely. We are in-network with multiple insurances and offer sliding scale payments, as our goal is to make therapy accessible. Our administrative team will handle billing, insurance issues, and marketing, so your time is spent providing therapy and helping clients.

Our practice trains in DBT and IFS as well as other modalities used by the clinical supervisors. Staff meetings and supervision are compensated and allow for team-building, collaboration, and support.

A comprehensive benefits package will be offered to FT staff including health, vision, and dental insurance, life insurance, 401k, pet insurance reimbursement, student loan reimbursement, FSA, and dependent care FSA. Attending supervision is a paid activity for all associates. Attending a consultation group is a paid activity for all licensed staff.

Key Responsibilities

Duties and qualities of the therapist include

  • Individual, family and group therapy, case management, comprehensive assessments, case consultation, treatment planning and skill coaching;
  • Implement the mission of the organization and complete tasks with self-initiation and without the need for strict controls;
  • Organize and manage a caseload; manage multiple tasks and demands on a timely basis;
  • Perform outreach activities to educate clients and service providers about available services;
  • Engage and communicate effectively with others in both verbal and written English;
  • Maintain timely, accurate and complete medical charts and client records and prepare reports;
  • Maintain legal registration or licensure in jurisdiction of service delivery
  • Maintain accurate supervision paperwork and hours tracking
  • Completion of necessary CEUs
  • Completion of required exams
  • Timely filing of registration of licensing
  • And other assigned tasks to fill organizational mission.

Skills & Experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Possession of a master's degree in the mental health profession and knowledge of applicable laws, ethics and regulations in delivery of mental health services are required.
  • Learn complex therapeutic technique and provide the therapy with fidelity and outstanding delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to: Work independently and in a team environment;
  • Work effectively with persons differing in value systems, ethnicity, cultural backgrounds, language capabilities and disabilities;
  • Exhibit exemplary customer service, compassion, and care in the execution of all duties and interactions. Employ tact and diplomacy, be genuine and non-judgmental of clients and co-workers.
