Primary Therapist

Lido Wellness Center is hiring for a Primary Therapist position. The Primary Therapist conducts biopsychosocial assessments, develops treatment plans, facilitates individual, family, and group therapy sessions, and provides clinical support to the program as needed. You will orient new patients to the treatment program and advocate for them throughout their treatment. Success in this role requires effective communication and teamwork in a clinical environment. As a member of the treatment team, the Primary Therapist meets weekly with the team to collaborate on cases.

 

Key Responsibilities

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Establishes positive and trusting relationships with patients.
  • Works as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team while employing independent judgment, demonstrating strong initiative, and utilizing clinical decision-making skills.
  • Ensures the provision of professional and compassionate care.
  • Completes biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans, and discharge plans within the required timeline.
  • Facilitates individual, family, and group psychotherapy sessions.
  • Develops and creates group materials as needed.
  • Documents clinical services in the EMR within 24 hours of session completion.
  • Attends weekly treatment team meetings, staff meetings, and clinical supervision as necessary.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Skills & Experience

What You Bring:

  • A Master’s or Doctorate degree from a nationally recognized and accredited graduate school of social work, marriage and family therapy, or psychology.
  • Current license in good standing with the Board of Psychology or the Board of Behavioral Services.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in mental health, eating disorders, or trauma-informed treatment is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills (written, verbal, active listening, emotional intelligence) along with the ability to build relationships to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • A professional demeanor, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Understanding of and adherence to HIPAA and Joint Commission compliance, including privacy measures and requirements.

The Fine Print: Physical Demands / Requirements & Work Conditions:

This position frequently requires sitting for extended periods of time (greater than 1 hour) and relies upon you to take frequent stretch breaks. This position occasionally requires lifting and carrying of materials (5-25 pounds). The ability to talk, hear, and see are key components of this role (with or without accommodation).
