Calm Therapy Center, Individual and Family Therapy Inc. is seeking a compassionate and dependable Part-Time Associate or Licensed Therapist to join our growing group private practice.

We are an insurance-based practice committed to making quality mental health care accessible while providing clinicians with the support and infrastructure of an established group practice. Our established referral network and participation with multiple insurance plans allow us to provide clinicians with a steady stream of referrals without the pressure of having to independently market or build a private-pay caseload.

This is a part-time W-2 position with a target of approximately 15–20 completed client sessions per week. Evening availability is required. In-person, telehealth, and/or hybrid scheduling may be available depending on clinician availability and practice needs.

We are especially interested in clinicians with experience working with substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns. Experience or training in EMDR and trauma-focused treatment is a plus.

Associate Clinician Compensation:
$35–$45/hour for clinical hours, based on experience, qualifications, and stage of professional development, plus $20/hour for required non-clinical hours. Clinical supervision is provided at no cost.

Licensed Clinician Compensation:
Starting around $55/hour for clinical hours, depending on experience, qualifications, and specialty training, plus $20/hour for required non-clinical hours. Additional private-pay compensation opportunities and opportunities for compensation growth are available.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual, couples, and/or family psychotherapy within the clinician's scope of practice and areas of competency.
• Maintain a part-time caseload of approximately 15–20 completed client sessions per week.
• Maintain consistent evening availability to meet client and practice needs.
• Complete progress notes, treatment plans, assessments, and other required clinical documentation accurately and on time.
• Develop and maintain appropriate treatment plans using evidence-based and clinically appropriate interventions.
• Provide ethical, culturally responsive, client-centered care.
• Coordinate care with other providers when clinically appropriate and authorized by the client.
• Maintain professional communication with clients, colleagues, supervisors, and administrative staff.
• Follow practice policies, insurance requirements, HIPAA standards, and applicable California legal and ethical requirements.
• Participate in required meetings, trainings, and clinical consultation.
• For associates, participate in required clinical supervision and maintain all BBS registration and supervised-experience requirements.

• Maintain reliable availability and continuity of care for assigned clients.

Skills & Experience

Required:

• Active California registration or license in good standing as a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC), Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Graduate degree in an applicable behavioral health discipline.
• Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a group-practice environment.
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Commitment to ethical, reliable, and high-quality client care.
• Evening availability.

Preferred:

• Experience treating substance use and recovery-related concerns.
• Experience with co-occurring substance use and mental health conditions.
• Experience treating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, and life transitions.
• EMDR training or experience with other evidence-based trauma treatments.
• Experience working in outpatient or private-practice settings.
• Interest in developing a specialty area and growing professionally within a group practice.
