Position Details
Position: Part-Time Associate Psychotherapist
Location: Fully Remote (No In-Person Requirements)
Compensation:
• $45 per Clinical Hour
• $16.50 per Administrative Hour
• Opportunities for rate increases based on experience and performance
• Bonuses and professional stipends available
Work Hours & Case Load Requirements:
• Clinician must be willing to accept referrals up to a minimum of 20 clients per week.
• Two hours of paid administrative time for every 10 clients seen (preapproved by a supervisor).
• Total hours worked cannot exceed 29 hours per week or 130 hours per month.

Shoreline Counseling Center is a thriving, insurance-based private practice dedicated to providing high-quality, accessible mental health services to a diverse client base. We specialize in working with couples, children, teens, and adults, integrating a range of therapeutic modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Gottman Relationship Therapy, and psychodynamic approaches.
Our fully remote practice offers a steady flow of referrals, strong administrative and billing support, high-quality clinical supervision, and a collaborative team environment to help clinicians develop their expertise while working toward licensure.
Position Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Associate Psychotherapist to join our team. This role provides the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to focus on client care without the burden of marketing, office logistics, or insurance paperwork.
No minimum hours completed toward licensure are required to apply—we welcome candidates at any stage of their post-graduate journey.
Key Responsibilities
• Accept referrals and maintain a minimum caseload of 20 clients per week.
• Provide telehealth psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and/or families.
• Maintain timely and compliant documentation in Simple Practice (our electronic medical record system).
• Participate in regular clinical supervision as required for licensure.
• Work within an insurance-based billing system (training provided).
• Engage in ongoing professional development and team collaboration.
Qualifications
• Education & Licensure:
• Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Registered as an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW), or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) in California.
• No minimum hours required prior to application—applicants at any stage of their post-graduate journey are encouraged to apply.
• Skills & Competencies:
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with insurance billing and documentation standards (training provided).
• Proficiency in telehealth platforms and electronic medical records (Simple Practice experience preferred).
• Commitment to ethical, inclusive, and culturally responsive care.
