Job Description

Donovan Individual and Family Counseling Services Inc. is currently seeking to hire one part-time licensed therapist (LMFT/LCSW) who can work 10-20 clinical hours per week as a part of our team. The position will be based in the Apple Valley office and requires in-person attendance. We take care of all the overhead and logistical aspects of the business so that you can focus on what you love to do as a therapist - provide therapy to clients, create treatment plans, write notes, and head back home. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Seeking Licensed Therapist to see 10+ clients per week (LMFT/LCSW/LPCC)
  • Must be able to work in person in the office in Apple Valley, CA
  • Flexible schedule (Monday to Friday, Weekend availability)
  • W2 Employee
  • Clinical consultation as needed.
  • Clinical Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour (Depending on the number of clients seen)
  • Admin Pay: $16.00 per hour.
  • The licensed therapist will need to go through the credentialing process with insurance and this may hold up employment.

Skills & Experience

The following are the key responsibilities of the ideal candidate:

- Conduct assessments to determine the client’s level of need and urgency of needs.
- Interpret the client's presenting issues and recommend the appropriate treatment modality.
- Provide treatment to adults, adolescents, families, couples, and children.
- Demonstrate expertise in various treatment methodologies and modalities, with trauma training being a plus.
- Provide appropriate and immediate guidance and therapy for clients in crisis.
- Maintain a written record of therapy and prepare documentation, reports, and letters.
- Comply with organizational, departmental, state/federal guidelines and regulatory agency policies and procedures.
- Provide high-quality, compassionate, and ethical therapy to clients.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of individual, family, and child therapy.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of individual and family systems and their impact on mental health within the family.
- Demonstrate proficiency skills in working with various cultures and applying varied interventions to individuals, couples, children, and families.
- Provide necessary self-care and demonstrate appropriate professional boundaries and behavior.
- Complete clinical documentation.
- Maintain required client contact, and good standing with the appropriate professional board entities, and complete and maintain all required continuing education requirements for specific licensure and specializations.
- Stay current with updated research and best practices.
