Compensation: Associates: $43–$70/hour
- Assessment & Diagnosis: Conduct intake assessments, evaluate mental health symptoms, and diagnose according to DSM-5 or ICD-10 criteria.
- Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals based on client needs.
- Therapy & Intervention: Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions (CBT, EMDR, DBT, etc.) tailored to the client.
- Crisis Intervention: Address immediate safety concerns, including suicidal or homicidal ideation, self-harm, or abuse.
- Progress Monitoring: Track client progress toward treatment goals and adjust interventions as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely clinical notes, treatment plans, and assessments.
- Compliance: Follow HIPAA, state regulations, and professional licensing board requirements.
- Ethical Practice: Uphold professional ethics, boundaries, and confidentiality.
- Continuing Education: Engage in ongoing training and supervision to maintain licensure and clinical competence.
- Collaboration: Coordinate care with other healthcare providers, schools, or community agencies when appropriate.
- Building Therapeutic Alliance: Create a safe, empathetic, and supportive environment for clients.
- Empowerment & Education: Help clients understand their mental health, develop coping strategies, and build resilience.
- Advocacy: Support clients in accessing resources, benefits, or community services.
- Associates and Licensed Therapists must have an active registration number with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS)
- Applicants must be in good standing with the board
- Registration must be maintained and current throughout employment
- Strong ability to build rapport and maintain therapeutic alliance with diverse clients
- Experience providing individual therapy in clinical or community settings
- Familiarity with evidence-based practices (e.g., CBT, EMDR, DBT, trauma-informed care)
- Commitment to professional growth and openness to supervision and feedback
- Excellent organizational skills, including timely documentation and case management
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, families, and team members
- Ability to provide both in-person and telehealth services (training provided if needed)
