Job Description

We are looking for therapists (both licensed and pre-licensed) to join our high-quality outpatient mental health team located in King of Prussia, PA. Our group private practice continues to grow due to the community needs so we are looking to be able to provide more support to those we serve.

The practice has an excellent reputation which provides a variety of referral sources in order to provide a steady stream of referrals. Therapists can develop a caseload tailored to their strengths or interested specialties they want to learn through our strategic marketing efforts admin staff complete.

This position provides outpatient therapy to clients and completes all required documentation to keep clients’ records updated according to legal/ethical guidelines of the profession as well as insurance company requirements. Licensed therapists have the opportunity to complete mentorship and/or supervision of pre-licensed staff and be involved in a variety of internship programs within the practice. Unlicensed therapists have the ability to receive supervision and training toward licensure, as well as, be hired and fully credentialed once licensed in order to maintain their built-up caseload.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide mental health outpatient therapy to clients through individual, family, couples, or group therapy sessions dependent on clinical presentation of the client
  • Conduct sessions with a variety of evidence-based interventions
  • Tailored treatment plans to individual needs in order to assist in the attainment of collaboratively set goals and through the use of evidence-based practice modalities
  • Provide case management services as necessary
  • Communicate with other healthcare providers involved to advocate for other services or connect to resources as needed and ensure continuity of care
  • Respond to client crises as necessary and make recommendations, ensure all company safety measures are followed; consultation with clinical supervisor to ensure crisis is handled appropriately
  • Assist with referrals or connection to appropriate levels of care, if necessary
  • Complete needed training, research, and exposure to evidence-based practice modalities in order to complete required treatment planning documentation and follow through to assist in client care
  • Complete progress notes and other documentation to keep the client’s record up to date within 48 hours of the session time
  • Potential to complete mentorship and/or supervision of staff
  • Support for additional training, consultation, and supervision for a variety of evidence-based practices and room to increase exposure to a variety of treatment modalities
  • Ability to gain exposure and training in new areas of interest with practice support and encouragement and partnerships the practice has to obtain consultation in a variety of settings

Skills & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Doctorate of Psychology, or related field
  • Actively licensed or eligible for/working towards clinical licensure in Pennsylvania (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, Licensed Psychologist)
  • Pre-licensed applicants must have completed a Master's degree or within 3 months of completing a degree at the time of the interview due to our highly competitive program
  • Minimum of one year of experience providing client service in a professional counseling setting (preferred)

 

Schedule Requirements

 

  • Full-time and part-time positions are available. Full-time: 25 client hours per week; Part-time: minimum of 15-18 clients per week; Pre-Licensed Associates are required to provide FT hours due to extensive training and supervision they receive and to align with licensure regulations
  • Flexibility to meet client's needs and maintain caseload requirements including some evenings and/or weekend availability from clinician
