Job Description

Provide family and individual mental health counseling/therapy

Provide treatment for mental disorders and psychological conflicts

Help families resolve emotional, mental, and psychological conflicts

Meet with entire families and/or individually with family members to assist them with functioning more effectively

Counsel families and individuals regarding psychological or emotional problems such as stress, substance abuse, or family situations and develop and implement therapeutic treatment plan

Interview family members to obtain information concerning social history, treatment and other pertinent information

Educate patients and their families about mental illness, treatment plans and resources

Facilitate regular multidisciplinary review meetings for the purpose of planning care and assessing the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions, group therapy processes and program components

Discuss progress toward goals such as medication regiment, family relationships, educational programs, and other related problems

Complete and maintain individual and group counseling notes and documentation

Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Skills & Experience

Employee must have completed a qualified Master’s level program as accredited by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) for professional licensure and must be registered associate, or active licensed with the BBS.

**Full time once case load established.

**Associates accepted, supervision part of employment.

**Pay depends upon experience.

**Must be willing to start process with insurance companies to be credentialed in order to begin employment. If interested, begin process by submitting resume.
