A Place to Grow Psychotherapy is looking to hire a licensed psychotherapist to join our team! Flexible scheduling, hybrid options, a beautiful office space, paid advertising, admin assitance, and insurance paneling. We are looking for a licensed therapist to work with either trauma (EMDR) or adolescent populations, however can be flexible for the right therapist on population focus, as well as others you may wish to see and grow your caseload with.
Individual and couples/family therapy: Conduct individual, couples, and family therapy sessions with clients to address a range of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges.
Assessment and Diagnosis: Perform thorough assessments and evaluations to diagnose mental health conditions, develop treatment plans, and set therapeutic goals in collaboration with clients.
Treatment Planning: Develop and implement effective, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs, monitoring progress and making adjustments as necessary.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including treatment notes, progress reports, and case summaries, in compliance with California state regulations and ethical standards.
Client Education: Educate clients about their mental health conditions, coping strategies, and resources available to support their ongoing well-being and recovery.
Ethical and Legal Compliance: Adhere to ethical guidelines and legal requirements set forth by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and other relevant bodies, including maintaining client confidentiality and informed consent.
Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with best practices, emerging therapies, and changes in mental health regulations.
Licensure: Valid and active license as a Psychotherapist (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, Psychologist or equivalent) in the state of California.
Clinical Expertise: Demonstrated experience in providing psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families, with a strong understanding of several therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practices.
Assessment and Diagnostic Skills: Proficiency in conducting comprehensive assessments and making accurate diagnoses of mental health disorders, with the ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, convey complex information clearly, and maintain precise documentation.
Cultural Competency: Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, demonstrating sensitivity to cultural, socioeconomic, and individual differences.
Ethical and Legal Knowledge: In-depth understanding of ethical guidelines and legal requirements in California mental health practice, including confidentiality, informed consent, and mandatory reporting.
Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to develop creative and individualized solutions to complex clinical issues.
Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational abilities, including managing a caseload, maintaining accurate records, and meeting deadlines.
Technological Proficiency: Comfortable using electronic health records (EHR) systems, teletherapy platforms, and other relevant technologies to support clinical practice and administrative tasks.
