Job Description

Seeking an associate (ASW/AMFT/APCC) therapist interested in working with individuals, couples and families within a supportive private practice with a handful of varied clinicians. Multicultural applicants encouraged to apply.

Please have experience working with multicultural clients, children, including LGBT individuals, couples, and/or teens. Experience working with trans* folks encouraged.

Must be responsible, professional, with a keen interest in developing their clinical expertise and have a genuine desire to help their clients. While referrals will be provided, candidate will be expected to do their own marketing as well. Supervision will be provided. Ideal candidates will maintain a caseload of 10+ clients per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide psychotherapy to children, teens, adults, couples, families and/or groups.
  • Assessment, treatment planning, documentation and termination responsibilities.
  • Maintain timely and accurate client records and calendar using Simple Practice software.
  • Engage in collaborative coordination of care with clients, parents and support staff as needed, including collateral communication with psychiatrists, teachers, etc.
  • Maintain all legal and ethical requirements of the profession.
  • Be flexible and receptive to change as part of an expanding and growing company.
  • Must maintain personal malpractice insurance policy.
  • Other duties as determined necessary.

Skills & Experience

  • Completion of graduate degree in counseling (or equivalent) at accredited university
  • MFT, CSW or PCC or AMFT ASW (registered associates with over 1000 hours and completion of Law & Ethics exam preferred) 
  • Self-motivated and committed to client therapeutic goals
  • Minimum commitment of 1 year or longer for client continuity
  • Experience with children, couples, LGBT individuals or polyam community preferred
