Job Description

Jesse Whittle-Utter, LMFT and Jeffrey Gianelli, LCSW are hiring ambitious, trauma-informed Associate AMFTs, APPCs, and ASWs to join a growing group private practice based in the California Bay Area. This is a great opportunity to complete your hours while building the clinical, marketing and business skills necessary to launch your own successful private practice upon licensure.  Employed associates will have access to office space across multiple locations in the Bay Area (depending on availability), and may also work virtually, if so desired. Compensation is based on a percentage of the fees you generate.

Associates would be employees of Rose Therapy Practice, with access to a group of 8-12 other associates, three other supervisors (for specialized consultations), and an administrative assistant/billing specialist. 

 

Supervision Structure (subject to change, depending on the number of associates who are active): Biweekly triad meeting with your supervisor and one other associate, with group supervision on alternating weeks. If you need more than one unit of supervision per week, that may be provided either through group supervision or an additional triad. 

Referrals: This practice is currently paneled with:

·       United Healthcare/Optum

·       Kaiser/Carealon (only if managed by Carealon)

·       Telus Health EAP

·       Care Connect EAP

·       California Statewide (FFS) Medi-Cal. 

You are welcome to enroll with these companies through the practice and accept referrals through them, as well as build your own private-pay client base. Guidance on marketing and finding your niche will be provided as needed.

Key Responsibilities

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide competent, professional, ethical and in-scope clinical care to clients, including documentation and treatment planning that meets the standard of care. 
  • Attend all supervision meetings or arrange substitute supervision as needed.
  • Abide by the agreements in the Employment Contract
  • Build a caseload of 8-10 clients within 6 months of joining the practice. Ideally associates will have the capacity for and interest in seeing 15-20 clients per week.
  • Track referrals, client insurance eligibility, copays and other payments.

Skills & Experience

Desired Experience:

  • Trauma informed
  • Trained or willing to train in modalities that incorporate depth psychology or experiential work such as IFS, EMDR, SE, or mindfulness based approaches
