Job Description

We have an opening for an associate (AMFT, ASW, APCC) to join our group practice (full-time) at our Long Beach office in addition to one day a week at our Echo Park office. We will provide you with quality supervision, clients, ongoing training (i.e., Gottman Level 1 within 90 days of hire), HIPAA-compliant tele-therapy platform, a private and fully furnished therapy offices, and complete all scheduling and collecting of fees. Associates primary responsibility is gain clinical supervision and professional experience. All networking, marketing and obtaining clients will be handled by the CEO.

Key Responsibilities

To provide culturally centered, evidence-based psychotherapy to individuals, couples and families. The ideal candidate embodies assertiveness, confidence, has effectively managed feelings of self-doubt or continues to work through them, motivated, and highly ethical. Must be open to working with high conflict couples, assertive individuals and challenging family dynamics . Must be open in receiving 30+ clients within 60 days of employment.

 

  • Provide individual, couples, marital/family psychotherapy; candidates must be open to working with children.
  • An interest in being a part of a collaborative, forward-thinking clinical team while also managing your time independently.
  • Participate in peer consultation group and team meetings.
  • Participate in 2-3x a week supervision with CEO and/or assigned clinical supervisors within the team.

 

Skills & Experience

This is an IN-PERSON position.

Multilingual skills are highly desirable.

 

MS, MA, or MFT with a current associate number from CA BBS no exceptions

Works well in a multi-disciplinary team setting.

Able to practice assertive, direct communication.

Able to establish clear and set boundaries with self, clients and peers.

Able to work both independently and as a team member.

Must be available 3-4 evenings per week, and some Saturday mornings.

Must be located in or willing to commute to our Long Beach office in addition to Echo Park (one day a week).
