Full-Time, On-Site | North Hollywood, CA | $120,000-$140,000 + Full Benefits
Direct patient flow (intakes, admissions, discharges, step-downs) across multiple facilities each offering a different level of care. Facilities range from short-term stay (detox) to longer-term residential; bed management spans 25 at one site to 125 at another.
- Draw from understanding of JCAHO requirements to direct patient flow and bed management
- Direct bed, staff, and resource utilization to ensure facility is operating at maximum capacity
- Understand how to manage a day's workload based on discharges that occurred the night before
- Streamline operations for walk-in inquiries
- Improve admissions intake workflow
- Train intake personnel on information gathering
- Serve as a resource for inquiries by referring out to appropriate providers when we can't meet the need
- Analyze data like holiday, 3-day weekend, and n0-show admissions trends
- Proactively respond to those trends to ensure maximum capacity
- Own incoming and outgoing patient discharge flow
- Collaborate with clinical director and clinical staff
- Work side by side with intake department
- Ensure intake specialists conduct proper clinical assessments (ASAM, ASI, CIWA, COWS, etc.)
- Ensure census goals
- Participate on the Risk Management, Quality Management, and Management Committee
- Submit and close out all CALOMS files on a quarterly basis
- Submit DATAR on a monthly basis
Qualifications
- Clinical licensure: LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, PA, RN, LVN, etc
- 3-5 years of experience managing high-volume patient admissions
Knowledge
- (ASAM, ASI, CIWA, COWS, etc.)
- DHCS, LACDPH SAPC, CARF, and JCAHO requirements
- Managed care clinical guidelines
- Standards and criteria for admissions into SUD residential and detoxification programs
