Tala Mental Health formerly known as Rose Junie Therapy

 

We are a purposefully diverse group practice located in Long Beach, CA. The practice believes in the power of community, culturally sensitive therapy, and collective healing practices to guide clients on their path to wellness. We proudly serve the BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) communities across Los Angeles and virtually throughout California. Our practice supports children, individuals, couples, and families, ensuring that mental health services are accessible to a diverse range of clients while maintaining a safe, empowering space for healing.

 

We have an opening for culturally responsive associate clinician (AMFT, ASW, APCC) to join our group practice (full-time) at our Long Beach office. We will provide you with quality supervision (4+ hours weekly), clients, HIPAA-compliant tele-therapy platform, a private and fully furnished therapy offices, and complete all scheduling and collecting of fees. We provide 401(k) matching, dental insurance, health insurance, paid professional development assistance.

 

Associates primary responsibility is to participate in supportive reflective supervision, gain clinical training (Gottman Level 1, Level 2, ART/EMDR) and clinical experience working with all ages. All networking, marketing and obtaining clients will be handled by the CEO.

 

COMPENSATION- PAY STRUCTURE

 

Clinical Rate: This rate applies exclusively to psychotherapy sessions, with a minimum requirement of 25 sessions per week. Compensation ranges from $35 to $75 per session, with higher rates available for candidates who have formal training in Gottman Method of Couples Therapy, Three-Day EMDR, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), or Discernment Counseling—along with relevant experience using these modalities in a private practice setting.

All clinical rates are subject to review and potential increases after 45 days, followed by additional adjustments at 90 days, six months, and annually.

 

Administrative Rate: Applies to supervision, meetings, consultations, and charting, and all other tasks ranging from $18 to $25 per hour. This is guaranteed for 15 hours per week during the first 30 days. As an employee, all hours worked are compensated.

To provide culturally centered, evidence-based psychotherapy to individuals, couples, children and families.

The ideal candidate is open to the following:

Participate in collaborative, reflective supervision and professional development training (Gottman Level 1 & 2, EMDR)

Receiving 30+ clients within 60 days of employment

Participate in 4+ supervision hours per week in addition to group consultation weekly, with three experienced supervisors on staff, we ensure BBS-compliant supervision is always available

Provide individual, couples, marital/family psychotherapy; candidates must be open to working with children.

Skills & Experience

MS, MA, or MFT with a current associate number from CA BBS

Comfortable with assertive, direct communication and managing a caseload of 30+ clients within 60 days

Available for 4+ supervision hours weekly in addition to peer consultation and team meetings

Commitment to inclusivity, cultural awareness, and a person-centered approach

Willingness to work with clients of all ages, including children, couples and families

Must be available 3-4 evenings per week.

Must be available for 4+ hours of supervision, weekly.

Must be located in or willing to commute to our Long Beach office.
