Job Description

JHS Professionals is a thriving private practice in Santa Clara, CA, dedicated to providing high-quality, evidence-based mental health care. We are looking for a passionate, independently licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our growing team as a W-2 employee.

In this role, you will provide clinical psychotherapy to a diverse client base in the Silicon Valley area, dealing with presenting issues such as high-stress corporate burnout, anxiety, life transitions, and trauma. This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid schedule (in-office and telehealth) while providing you with full administrative, billing, and marketing support so you can focus entirely on clinical work.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical intakes, assessments, and mental health diagnoses using the DSM-5.

• Provide high-quality individual, couples, or family psychotherapy sessions.

• Develop, implement, and regularly update collaborative, individualized treatment plans.

• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation (intakes, progress notes, discharge summaries) within our EHR system in compliance with California BBS and HIPAA standards.

• Manage crises effectively and coordinate care with external medical or psychiatric professionals when necessary.

• Participate in monthly peer consultation or staff meetings to maintain clinical excellence.

Skills & Experience

• Must hold an active, unrestricted Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in good standing with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS).

• Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from an accredited university.

• Minimum of 1–2 years of post-licensure clinical experience preferred (private practice experience is a plus).

• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR, or psychodynamic therapies).

• Excellent communication skills and cultural humility, with comfort navigating the unique stressors of the Silicon Valley/tech community.

• High tech-literacy and comfort utilizing electronic health records (EHR) and secure telehealth platforms.

• Must have a clean background check and maintain individual professional liability insurance.
