Job Description

Capricorn Counseling Center private practice is searching for a committed and kind hearted clinician Pre-Licensed to join our team of therapists. We seek those clinicians who are both professional and are able to connect with people on a wide range of issues. Capricorn Counseling Center is a mental health clinic/private practice startup based in Santa Barbara, California. Our goal is to serve all Californians (via telehealth) and support their mental health and well-being. We are looking for a wide range of clinicians that specialize in working with individuals, college age students, families, children, LGBTQ, BIPOC, eating disorders, and addiction. https://www.capricorncounselingcenter.com/

Key Responsibilities

Provide individual, couple, or family therapy 

Carry out caseload of a minimum of 15 client sessions per week

Develop, implement, and review treatment plans and assessments

Complete treatment documentation in a timely manner

Collaborate with Clinical Director and other available clinicians on how to be a more effective therapist to best serve our clients

Associate must attend weekly virtual supervision

Skills & Experience

Master’s degree and Associate number (AMFT, APCC) *If you do not have your Associate number yet, that's ok, please apply anyway with estimated date you will recieve.

Knowledge and experience with risk assessment

Ability to work remotely and provide virtual telehealth

Comfortable with modern office technology, practice management software and online calendar

Excellent knowledge of English language

Knowledge and experience and clinical assessment and treat treatment planning

An overall positive attitude towards working with others

Ability or interest to work with diverse backgrounds

Preferences

Associate clinician (ASW, AMFT, APCC)

Ability to speak Spanish or any other language other than English

Specialty or interest in PTSD, eating disorders, LGBTQ, BIPOC, and working with children
