Hiring Part Time / Full Time Associate Clinical Therapist

Purpose of the Position  

The purpose of your role as a S.A.G.E. Associate Therapist is to greet each client with an open heart, ready to be their mental health guide and engage them in their healing process. Having a Guide is an integral part of the S.A.G.E. method and your work will be integral in the healing journey of the individuals you work with.

Boundaries  

💰Compensation - Clinical Hours will be paid at $30 - $75 based on direct client hours, experience, and training (EMDR trained allows for higher start pay). The clinical hour should include the therapy session and the progress note (ie. 50 min session and 10 min to complete progress note). Administrative time will be paid at $16.90 per hour.

🗺️ Location - Our location is 2050 N. Tustin Ave, Santa Ana, CA 92705 (on the border of Tustin right off the 55 fwy and 17th Street exit) in The Holistic Healing Collective building. You are expected to come to the office for in-person sessions. You will be required to have a secure and confidential location and stable wiFi, a reliable computer/laptop and be in an environment where you can focus for any telehealth sessions.

Key Responsibilities

Your Responsibilities 💪🏽

1. Clinical Duties

• Scheduling 24 in-person client sessions per week during “prime time” therapy times (Monday - Friday 3 - 8pm, weekends during the day)

• Maintain productivity requirements of holding 85% of scheduled sessions per week (with 24 scheduled sessions, this equates to approx 20 actual sessions per week)

• Complete Intake notes, progress notes, contact notes, termination notes, treatment plans within 24 hours of contact

• Perform solid, evidence based treatments for clientele and be open to feedback in clinical consultation/supervision/training.

• Engage clients in conversations that will help them show up for themselves with regular attendance to their sessions and address issues of avoidance or disengagement in therapy as needed

• Proper care of clients including emergency contact with clinical supervisor/director if needed

• Report suspected child abuse or other safety issues, as required by law and agency policies

• Attend and engage in clinical supervision weekly (presently held on Thursday’s 11am-1pm, will be opening up a second group supervision timeshortly + a 2nd unit of supervision will be needed according to BBS guidelines) at the S.A.G.E. office (for group) and virtual (for 2nd unit)

• Attend our mandatory monthly team meeting that is held on the last Thursday of the month which we overlap with group supervision (includes an hour of holistic training presentation); we do this by adding an additional 30 minutes (end time is 1:30pm those days), flexibility in scheduling is necessary

• Charge clients for sessions and ensure client’s account is current according to co-pays made for insurance plans or cash pay clients

• Provide your own personal malpractice insurance with S.A.G.E. Holistic Health & Wellness Center as an additional insured (when applicable)

2. Admin Duties

• Time worked is recorded through Gusto and updated prior to end of payroll periods (1st - 15th and 16th - 31st)

• Submit any requests through Gusto for reimbursements prior to end of payroll periods (15th and 31st)

• Opening/Closing of office 

• Monitor voicemail and email daily and respond to all messages from S.A.G.E. management, employees and clients within 24 hours

• Comply with HIPAA training once a year and Sexual Harassment training every two years as required, among other tasks.

• Attend ongoing training as needed so you can become a master at how we do things and what we teach at S.A.G.E.

• Marketing is suggested and compensated at one item per quarter to help develop your clientele
