Job Title: Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT)

 

Location: telehealth/virtual 

 

Employment Type: Full-time/Part-time (Private Practice)

 

Reports to: LCSW)/Clinical Supervisor

 

Job Description:

 

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) to join our private practice. The AMFT will work under the supervision of a LCSW provide high-quality therapeutic services to individuals, couples, families, and groups. This position offers the opportunity for professional growth and development while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Clinical rate between $42-$45 per hour  DOE

Non-clinical rate: $18 per hour 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Responsibilities:

 

Provide individual, couple, and family therapy under clinical supervision.

 

Conduct intake assessments, create treatment plans, and track progress toward therapy goals.

 

Utilize evidence-based practices and therapeutic interventions to address mental health, relationship, and family dynamic issues.

 

Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.

 

Participate in regular clinical supervision sessions with the supervising LCSW

 

Attend case consultations and staff meetings as required.

 

Support clients in navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, marital conflict, parenting issues, and more.

 

Stay current with continuing education requirements and best practices in the field of therapy.

 

Adhere to ethical standards and the policies of the practice, ensuring professionalism at all times.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Counseling

Active registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT).

 

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a private practice.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Ability to manage and prioritize caseloads effectively.

 

Experience working with diverse populations and a variety of presenting issues.

 

Commitment to ongoing professional development and meeting BBS supervision requirements.

 

 

Preferred Skills:

 

Experience in a private practice setting
