Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Associate Marriage and Family Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide individual, couples, and family therapy sessions, conduct intake assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, and maintain accurate clinical documentation. You will also have the opportunity to participate in regular supervision and team meetings, collaborate with other mental health professionals, and stay updated on best practices in the field.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide individual, couples, and family therapy sessions to clients.

- Conduct intake assessments and develop personalized treatment plans.

- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

- Collaborate with other mental health professionals and community resources.

- Adhere to legal and ethical standards of practice.

Skills & Experience

- Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.

- Active registration as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) or Associate Social Worker (ASW) with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS).

- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting.

- Strong understanding of therapeutic principles and techniques.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly desirable.

  • Experience with teletherapy platforms.

  • Specialized training in trauma, CBT, DBT, EMDR, or child therapy.

  • Knowledge of local community resources.
