Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • providing initial intake and assessment
  • diagnosis and treatment planning for both private pay and insurance-paid clients
  • determining medical necessity of clients utilizing insurance
  • assessing and monitoring for client safety
  • providing creative, effective, evidence-based treatment for mild to moderate acuity
  • adhering to legal and ethical standards of the profession
  • maintaining accurate and timely documentation in EHR
  • managing treatment from intake through discharge
  • making appropriate outside referrals
  • working under the supervision of a licensed professional
  • working collaboratively with admin staff and coworkers
  • demonstrating awareness and sensitivity to cultural differences

Skills & Experience

Skills Needed

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently 
  • Willingness to be open to feedback and learning opportunities
  • Desire to attend and complete couple’s therapy focused trainings
  • Active membership in CAMFT and/or AMFT
  • Meet and maintain all BBS requirements
 
Potential hours
  •  in person time required
  •  begin with part-time schedule —> 2 full weekdays and option for 1-2 weekend days
  •  possibility to increase to full time with benefits after 90 days
