BreakAway Health Corporation is a family-owned comprehensive outpatient facility that offers its services to adults and their families seeking help from psychological challenges or substance abuse. Our behavioral health services are designed to serve adults who suffer from substance abuse, dependency, sexual trauma, PTSD, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and other psychiatric and behavioral disorders.
AMFT, ACSW, APCC: As an Addiction and Mental Health Therapist, you will meet individually with clients, run group therapy, documentation, and perform crisis intervention as needed. You will monitor clients to evaluate the success of therapy and adapt treatment as needed. You will prepare the Master Treatment Plan for all assigned Clients and update within agency guidelines.
Monday-Friday hours include 8:30/9:00 am-4:00/4:30 pm (hours vary according to census)

- Perform individual therapy (Max 8-10 hrs/week) and psyho-education group therapy services (4-5 hrs/week) for clients
- Crisis intervention
- Complete initial assessments upon admission and comprehensive bio-psychosocial
- Develop client treatment plans within 7 days of admission.
- Review and evaluate client progress in relation to measurable goals described in treatment plans.
- Intervene as an advocate for clients to resolve crisis situations.
- Modify treatment plans to comply with any changes in client status.
- Coordinate therapy efforts with Clinical Director and additional professional staff.
- Attend training sessions and in-services to increase knowledge and skills.
- Participate in all mandatory staff meetings.
- Aid Case Management teams in discharge planning and work collaboratively to ensure successful aftercare plans are completed.
- A Master’s degree in social or behavioral science in a human services discipline.
- Prior history of working in a treatment center for substance abuse and mental health
- Preferred Candidates: AMFT, APCC, ACSW with 500 hours or more
- Minimum requirements: AMFTs need to have children hours completed. For AMFT/ACSW/APCC we can provide supervision if necessary
- This position also requires proof of a current negative TB test, CPR/First-Aid certification, and documentation for I-9 verification within the first week of employment.
