Job Description

For an established PHP/IOP program in Los Angeles with an emphasis on multi-family group facilitation. Other key components include: direct clinical care, staff supervision, ensuring documentation compliance, and maintaining program quality. This role does have a 24/7 on-call component but it's extremely rare that it applies.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide group, individual, and family therapy (teen programs).

  • Review and co-sign clinical documentation (notes, risk assessments, treatment plans).

  • Audit records for quality, compliance, and timeliness; coach staff on improvements.

  • Participate in case reviews, treatment planning, and care coordination.

  • Ensure evidence-based, trauma-informed, and culturally competent practices.

  • Conduct urgent assessments and provide on-call clinical support.

  • Carry a caseload and complete new patient assessments as needed.

  • Provide clinical supervision to licensed/unlicensed staff, interns, and case managers.

  • Lead team meetings, treatment reviews, and professional development sessions.

  • Conduct performance evaluations, support licensure/CE processes, and mentor new hires.

  • Serve as a clinical resource and escalation point in crisis situations.

  • Ensure adherence to state licensing, accreditation, and ethical standards.

  • Participate in audits, medical record reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Oversee incident reporting, risk management, and clinical grievance resolution.

  • Monitor documentation timelines to support billing and payer requirements.

  • Facilitate therapy sessions and treatment planning with clients and families.

  • Provide psychoeducation and guidance to caregivers to ensure continuity of care.

  • Step in with complex cases and family concerns as needed.

  • Foster an inclusive, trauma-informed, and culturally competent therapeutic environment.

Skills & Experience

  • MA
  • LMFT, LCSW, LPCC
  • 2 yrs post-licensure experience
  • Experience with PHP/IOP program operations
  • Experience with teen / adolescent / family programming preferred
