Job Description

 

  • Provide professional counseling services to individuals, couples, families, and teens utilizing evidenced based treatment modalities. Preferential hiring to those willing to work with children and who have availability in the evenings.

  • Employ evidence-based outcome tracking and provide clients with feedback on progress. 

  • Provide continuity of care for all clients including but not limited to consulting with other practitioners, primary care physicians, psychiatrists, and providing community resource referrals, as well as encouraging adjunctive services where appropriate.

  • Work closely with a collaborative team of clinicians through regular consultation, clinical supervision, groups, and staff meetings. Supervision and staff meetings are paid.

  • Coffee House Counseling provides clinicians with private office, computer, and office equipment. Office sharing may be offered based on scheduling. Additionally, CHC provides all necessary administrative tasks; such as marketing, billing, referrals, and scheduling. CHC values the clinician’s primary role to provide clinical treatment and complete the required documentation without the stress of other administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete and maintain confidential files and mandated records. 

  • Complete all documentation in a timely manner utilizing an Electronic Health Record system. 

  • Progress notes are to be completed within 48 hours of session. Intake Notes and Treatment Plans are to be completed within 72 hours of session.

  • Maintain excellent written and verbal communication skills and possess the ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships.

  • Must demonstrate interpersonal responsiveness and be able to work with a diverse population.

  • Maintain registered Associate MFT requirements in good standing; including CEU’s and ongoing professional development and training provided by CHC or independently.

  • Follow all clinical and administrative procedures, participate in all required trainings, meetings, and clinical supervision.

Skills & Experience

 

  • Masters degree in counseling or related field. CHC can't accept practicum students as a private practice.

  • Possess unrestricted CA BBS registration as AMFT or APCC

  • 1 year post graduate experience preferred
