Small group practice seeking motivated AMFT to join the team!

 

About Me: As the supervising LMFT, I believe in the importance of proper theoretical approaches given the context of case conceptualizations. I am passionate about utilizing psychodynamic theory with a specialized focus on attachment. I am an EMDRIA Certified Therapist, am an EMDRIA Approved Consultant in Training, and have earned a post masters certification as an equine-assisted mental health practitioner. I strive to provide a holistic approach with those I work with, and strongly value the connection between mind, body, and soul. Key Responsibilities

-Caseload Expectations: 22-26 clients per week

-Must have associate number provided by BBS

-Must be available to work on weekends (1 day) and/or evenings (1 day)

-Must have PsychologyToday profile upon being hired

-Compensation: $55 per session with client's utilizing insurance, split 50/50 for cash pay clients, 2 hours of administrative work a week ($17/hour), paid supervision ($17/hour), and paid consultation calls with prospective clients.

-Supervision: Paid weekly supervision provided. Supervisor on call 24/7 for any additional support or crises 

-Work Environment: A combination of in person and telehealth. Office space available in Silverlake and Highland Park. Must be able to come into office one day per week. 

-Although plenty of referrals are provided, clinicians must be dedicated and motivated to marketing and networking

Skills & Experience

  • Proficiency in providing individual and couples therapy using evidence-based modalities such as EMDR, CBT, or psychodynamic/attachment-based approaches.
  • Experience working with trauma survivors and utilizing trauma-informed care principles.
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and treatment planning tailored to clients' needs.
  • Knowledge of ethical guidelines and legal requirements governing therapy practice in our state.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience in crisis intervention and management, including risk assessment and safety planning.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and willingness to pursue advanced training in specialized therapeutic techniques.
  • Cultural competence and experience working with diverse populations, including LGBTQ+ individuals and communities of color.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex psychological concepts in clear, understandable language to clients and their families.
