Job Description

At Serenity Bean Therapy our goal is to provide the best care possible for our clients and community by implementing effective compassionate treatment and prevention services for clients entering and exiting the criminal justice system. We all see individuals, couples, teens, and children in private practice settings. Our team serves clients in the Sacramento region.

If you are interested in working in a private practice setting, and you have the ability to work independently and the flexibility to start small while your caseload grows then this position may be for you. 

You set your own schedule, you are in charge of your calendar and the office is available Monday - Sunday. 

This is a PART-TIME position.

Key Responsibilities

You will have forensic, private pay, and insurance clients. Minimum 10 and Maximum of 30 hours

The therapist will act in all aspects of the job in a respectful and professional manner. This includes, but is not limited to interpersonal interactions with colleagues, officers, and other staff, dressing in a professional manner that reflects their position.

Clients will be seen at the time of their scheduled appointment in a timely manner.

The therapist will manage their schedule and keep their electronic health record platform (EHR) calendar up to date.

Documentation will be completed and entered into the EHR in a timely manner, and no longer than 72 hours from the time of the session. It will also comply with the standards of practice established by professional standards,

Forensic roles and responsibilities:

Weekly, biweekly, and monthly individual sessions for clients on therapist caseload. 

Prepare weekly/monthly clinical notes including treatment plans and updates as required by the contract.

Monthly case staffing with the client's officer

Integrate DSM diagnoses

Attend weekly group, 1-1's, or triad supervision.

Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team members to ensure client outcomes and termination reports.

Skills & Experience

Master's Degree

Active Associate License

BBS Registration

Ability to provide compassionate non-judgmental behavior health services.

This MUST be your first associate number.

Knowledge and competence with the DSM V and the EHR plate form.

Preferred

Experience with forensic treatment in a 1-1 setting.
