Integrative Family Therapy, a group practice based in Encinitas, California, is seeking an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate is truly passionate about counseling couples, children, parents, and families utilizing an attachment based and holistic lens. Integrative Family Therapy embodies a work culture that is uplifting, positive, and supportive. This is the perfect position for a therapist who wants to work in a small private practice setting. We are located in Encinitas, California and this is an in-person office position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in person and telehealth therapy in our office in Encinitas Monday to Friday afternoons and some evenings

  • Complete timely biopsychosocial intake, treatment plan and progress notes 

  • Provide therapy to couples, children, parents and families

  • Build and maintain a minimum caseload of 20 clients per week 

  • Coordinate care with psychologists, peditatricians, school counselors, teachers, psychiatrists, speech therapists, occupational therapists (for child therapy)

  • Run a weekly parent education class and/or parent support group

  • Attend staff meetings and supervision as assigned

Skills & Experience

We are hoping to bring on board on associate therapist whom is passionate about counseling couples, children, parents and families. We are looking for therapist that has completed the Externship in Emotionally Focused Therapy. 

  • This position requires that the therapist develop a niche in one or more of the following areas: couples, children, parents, and families.

  • Current Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with the Board of Behavioral Sciences.

  • Therapists are expected to have strong skills in the areas of intake, treatment planning, and progress notes.

  • We are seeking therapists with a strong attachment lens.

  • We would love therapists to join us that have completed training in Emotionally Focused Family Therapy.

  • We are seeking one therapist that is a Registered Play Therapist or one who wants to become a Registered Play Therapist.

  • We would love to bring on board a therapist that is familiar with the work of Dr. Becky, Dr. Dan Siegel and Robyn Gobbel.
