Founded by a trauma therapist and EMDR Clinician (not a VC-backed company), Evergreen Counseling is the first boutique, trauma-informed therapy center in the area.

At Evergreen, we center our clients, providing exceptional, professional, warm and humanistic care. Each staff member is trauma-informed and possesses advanced training in trauma treatment modalities so that we can serve clients presenting with single incident traumas, or early relational traumas (sometimes called developmental trauma).

Skills & Experience

  • You have an active, unrestricted LMFT/LCSW/LPCC license or active license in clinical psychology (PhD or PsyD from an accredited university) and are fully licensed (please note we are not accepting associate applicants at this time for this position) to practice in California.
  • You have been licensed at least three years and are a child therapist with ample experience and/or you have advanced training in child therapy (including, but not limited to, being a Registered Play Therapist or other relevant advanced trainings).You’re willing and able to hold 25 in-person client sessions weekly across the following days and times: 
    • Monday: 8am-2pm (in-person)
    • Tuesday: 8am-2pm (in-person)
    • Wednesday: 3-7pm (in-person)
    • Thursday: 8am-2pm (in-person)
    • Friday: 8am-12pm (in-person)
  • Should the need to conduct sessions (such as parent sessions or consult calls) at home ever arise, you have a private, confidential and sound-proofed home office with reliable internet connection.
  • You have the clinical training and experience that equips you to work well with clients ages 3-12 who present with anxiety, depression, unresolved trauma (attachment and otherwise), phobias, neurodiversity, gender questioning, and more
  • You are compassionate, warm, personable, hard-working, and reliable.
  • You’re willing and able to commit to a full-time role at Evergreen Counseling for at least 3 years.

  • Should the need ever arise, do you have a private, confidential, quiet and professional looking home office or space in your home to conduct client sessions (without mess or other distractions in the background)?
  • Give examples that demonstrate the level of experience you have working with child clients (ages 3-12) and describe the primary methodologies that you used to inform your work with those clients.
  • Do you have any advanced training or certifications to work with child clients (eg: Registered Play Therapy, EMDR for kiddos, etc)?
  • As a center, we serve adolescents (13-19), adults (20+), couples and families. Which population you had the most experience with, which population have you had the least experience with? Which do you prefer most, which do you prefer least?
  • Are you able and willing to commit to working at Evergreen Counseling for at least three years?
  • What are your long-term career goals? Where do you see yourself in four-five years?
